Sliding Sash Windows
A natural choice for city centre conversions, listed buildings and any location affected by conservation restrictions, BJM’s sliding sash windows help to preserve a property’s original character while offering all the practical benefits associated with modern materials and construction.

Timber
Grade 1 Scandinavian Redwood taken from sustainable sources. Complies with BS EN 942: 1996.
Preservative
Every component of every window is preserved before assembly and paint application.
Adhesives
We use high-quality adhesives providing excellent strength, durability and water resistance, and which comply with BS EN 204 D4.
Weather seal
All our sliding sash windows are supplied with weather seals as standard. Seals are paintable and guaranteed against shrinkage if applied and maintained as recommended.
Ironmongery
Our sash windows are supplied with sash catches in brass, chrome and a range of other finishes. Sash lifts are supplied loose for fixing on site.
Operation
Supplied with spiral balances as standard, though traditional weights, cords and pulleys are supplied when required.
Ventilation
All windows can feature flush-fitting ventilators for constant airflow.
Factory finish option
Windows can be paint finished to any RAL or BS number/reference and supplied factory glazed. Windows are finished using a waterborne high-build coating system.
Windows are glazed using Double Glazed Units manufactured and tested to BS EN 1279, and comply with Part L of Building Regulations for improved thermal insulation.
For increased lifespan, factory glazed units are installed using a drained and vented method to BS6375 part 1989.
