French Door Sets
The perfect way to complete and complement an overall look, our French door sets are made to measure and available in styles and technical specifications which match the property’s windows. French doors are usually manufactured and supplied as part of the window contract.
Timber
Grade 1 Scandinavian Redwood taken from sustainable sources. Complies with BS EN 942: 1996.
Preservative
Every component of every door set is preserved before assembly and paint application.
Adhesives
We use high-quality adhesives providing excellent strength, durability and water resistance, and which comply with BS EN 204 D4.
Weather seal
Our door sets are supplied with weather seals as standard. Seals are paintable and guaranteed against shrinkage if applied and maintained as recommended.
Ironmongery
Ironmongery generally complies with BS6462.
Doors are generally hung using superior-quality hinges offering improved durability and security. Standard door sets are supplied with 3-point locking hook shootbolts with centre cylinder and lever handles, though we do offer a range of alternative locking mechanisms. All door sets feature self-draining cills.
Lever handles and self-draining cills are available in a wide range of finishes.
Ventilation
Door sets can feature flush-fitting ventilators for constant airflow.
Factory finish option
Door sets can be paint finished to any RAL or BS number/reference and supplied factory glazed. Doors are finished using a waterborne high-build coating system.
Doors are glazed using Double Glazed Units manufactured and tested to BS EN 1279, and comply with Part L of Building Regulations for improved thermal insulation.
For increased lifespan, factory glazed units are installed using a drained and vented method to BS6375 part 1989.
